Metamaterials for Mechanically Directing Cell Phenotype

Karen Dubbin | 19-FS-064

Executive Summary

We will determine the feasibility of using a new advanced manufacturing technique (projection micro-stereolithography) to fabricate three-dimensional, cell-compatible lattice microstructures and further to determine if interaction with these microstructures can influence cell phenotype. If successful, this study could impact applications in tissue engineering, biosensing, and mechanobiology.
