Advancing Measurements and Understanding of the Rate and Structure of Atmospheric Warming

Executive Summary

Our goal is to discover and correct biases in satellite microwave records of atmospheric temperatures and to assess their influence on current simulations of the atmospheric warming response to increasing greenhouse gas concentrations. If successful, these improvements in our ability to accurately simulate future climate change will increase our understanding of Earth’s climate sensitivity and better inform energy policy.
