Executive Summary

We aim to address a known bottleneck in the codes that underlie the reservoir simulations used to design subsurface engineering projects, thereby enabling the processing of significantly larger computational problems. Enhancing subsurface engineering capabilities will improve the performance and safety of energy technologies that support a sustainable domestic energy supply and long-term environmental responsibility.
