Executive Summary
We are developing a novel approach to generating the predictive rate calculations of an atomic nucleus along its path to fission, beginning with the interacting protons and neutrons. Our new fission model will enable improved accuracy of nuclear cross-section measurements, which is essential for stockpile stewardship and commercial nuclear reactor design and operation.
