Reverse-Engineering the Neutron-Nucleus Interaction
Gregorio Potel Aguilar | 21-ERD-006
Executive Summary
This project will develop a new nuclear reaction-theory formalism to better determine the effective neutron-nucleus interaction, which is essential to accurate simulations for predicting the behavior of nuclear matter. Better simulations of nuclear behavior are necessary to support stockpile stewardship and nuclear forensic missions and advance the field of nuclear physics.
