Constraining the Origin of Earth's Water with Isotope Tracers in Astromaterials

Erik Oerter | 19-LW-046

Executive Summary

We will analyze the composition of water in meteorites to test the various theories about the origin and sources of water in our solar system and on Earth. Answering the question of where Earth's water came from is critical to our understanding of planetary formation, and thus the potential for the occurrence of water and life throughout the universe.
