Hydrogen Embrittlement-Resistant High-Entropy Alloys with High Strength and Ductility

Executive Summary

Using atomistic simulations, we seek to gain a better understanding of alloys that are resistant to hydrogen embrittlement—knowledge we will then use to develop a methodology for the design of such alloys. Our methodology and its accompanying computer codes represent a paradigm shift from empirical to rational alloy design and will have application across the Department of Energy mission space.
