Executive Summary

To address known performance issues, we are developing advanced manufacturing processing techniques based on laser sintering and ablation that will yield scalable, low cost, high-energy-density solid-state lithium batteries advancing energy storage needs across national security missions. These laser-based techniques can also be applied to other fields, such as additive manufacturing of ceramics and metals.
