Enhanced Tunnel Detection with Multiple Sensor Technologies

Executive Summary

This study will explore the feasibility of using a novel statistical graph-based approach to detect tunnels by fusing geographical information systems data layers with simulated sensor detections along portions of the nation's border and comparing with ground truth. These methods will be used to assess the vulnerability of infrastructure to terrorist attack through tunnels or other underground means.
