Simulations of Interpenetrating Plasmas

Debojyoti Ghosh | 17-ERD-081

Executive Summary

We are developing tools for simulating multiple interacting plasma flows while incorporating key kinetic processes for interpenetrating plasmas. The code we develop will be applied to high-energy-density and inertial confinement fusion experiments to get a better understanding of the rich plasma dynamics inside a hohlraum and will provide a predictive capability for future experiments.
