Executive Summary
We are exploring novel additively manufactured templates for incorporating engineered, ultralow-density porous materials into high-power laser targets, thus greatly improving target fabrication reproducibility. These materials are expected to enable innovative technologies in laser-fusion energy, energy storage and conversion, and catalysis, as well as for stockpile stewardship science.
