Executive Summary

We will assess the feasibility of a new optoelectronic laser beam control technology to serve as an alternative to the current technology that is limited by inadequate laser-power-handling capabilities. New metasurface components could enable unequaled performance in beam-steering speed and precision targeting for high-power lasers in directed energy, optical communication, and laser-based advanced manufacturing applications.
