A Quantitative Methodology for Measuring Cyber Risk to Critical Infrastructure

Jovana Helms | 17-ERD-117

Executive Summary

We are developing a methodology that employs modeling, simulation, and analysis to identify baseline cyber-attack risks to the U.S. power grid and to assess potential mitigations and countermeasures. While the project supports national objectives to maintain a secure and resilient U.S. energy infrastructure, the assessment framework is broadly applicable to many of the nation's critical infrastructures.
