Microresonators for Compact Optical Sensors

Tiziana Bond | 19-ERD-002

Executive Summary

We will develop powerful, unobtrusive, ultracompact optical sensors for remote chemical and biological detection, suitable for monitoring aging processes in a sealed material environment. This technology has applications in stockpile stewardship for persistent surveillance of system health, in atmospheric science for monitoring anthropogenic alterations, and in biosecurity for detecting biomolecules in remediation operations and forensic investigations.
