Executive Summary
We will develop a capability to test and characterize materials at extreme temperatures that evaluates the atomic, microstructural, and bulk properties by using in-situ and ex-situ characterization techniques. The data gathered by this investigation will help scientists better understand the behavior of materials at high temperatures, while also informing modeling and simulation efforts, leading to the advancement of hypersonic vehicle technologies.
