Improved Seismic Monitoring for National and Energy Security with Earth Models from Full Waveform Inversion

Arthur Rodgers | 20-ERD-008

Executive Summary

We are developing three-dimensional Earth models using full waveform inversion to improve simulation-based seismic source characterization and subsurface imaging. The resulting models and methods will advance seismic monitoring for applications in nuclear threat reduction and energy security.
