Energy Scaling of Thin-Disk Lasers

Executive Summary

We are pursuing the development of a novel thin-disk laser with an innovative curved disk that, if successful, will yield a ten-fold increase in output energy, thereby revolutionizing the field of solid-state lasers. This research supports inertial-confinement fusion, high-energy-density science, and other national security missions, as well as industrial and medical applications.
