Executive Summary

We will evaluate deeply rooted cultivars as a means to enhance carbon sequestration in marginal and agricultural soils. Our research will determine mechanisms of carbon stabilization in deep soils, drive technological development in the agricultural carbon sequestration sector, and inform negative emissions policies at the state and national levels.
