Profiling Neurological Consequences and Susceptible Populations of Chronic Opioid Use

Heather Enright | 20-ERD-009

Executive Summary

We will establish a unique approach that leverages Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's capabilities (accelerator mass spectrometry and brain-on-chip) to evaluate human-relevant neurological reactions to exposure to fentanyl. Once established, our approach provides a pipeline to evaluate any compound of national interest as well as any potential treatments to mitigate the effects as a result of exposure.
