High-Performance Parallel Simulations for Whole-Cell Modeling

Ali Navid | 19-ERD-030

Executive Summary

We will develop a general-purpose, high-performance, multiscale, parallel simulation framework that will rapidly execute modeling algorithms used for modeling the dynamics of whole cells. These models can be used to simulate behavior of multicellular communities (e.g., gut microbiota) and multicellular systems (such as humans) to help illuminate multiscale biological processes, discover the pathogenesis of disease, and design effective and safe therapies for individual patients.
