Ultrahigh-Resolution X-Ray Spectroscopy Using Cyclotron Radiation Emission

Nathan Woollett | 20-LW-056

Executive Summary

We will build and characterize a new form of x-ray spectrometer based on the principle of cyclotron radiation emission spectrometry with resolution ten times better than current state-of-the-art technology. These improvements will support basic science and open the door to new national capabilities in nuclear forensics.
