Executive Summary

The goal of this project is to explore a burgeoning class of magnetostrictive materials for use in electromagnetic sensors and other devices, with a particular focus on developing feedstock suitable for advanced manufacturing processes. This research could have broad impact across the Department of Energy, including energy grid modernization and nuclear materials detection.
