Sirius Mini: A Prototype Disruptive Accelerator Architecture for Next-Generation Inertial Confinement Fusion Systems
Keith Lechien | 20-ERD-052
Executive Summary
We are developing a novel pulsed-power generator to be the basis for a petawatt-class, magnetically driven, high-yield fusion capability, which is a disruptive technology that will enable an accelerator that is of lower cost and greater power than competing technologies. This project supports national goals in stockpile stewardship as it promises to make high-yield fusion viable.
