Nuclear Dynamics on a Quantum Chip

Sofia Quaglioni | 19-DR-005

Executive Summary

We will develop the algorithms necessary for simulating nuclear dynamics on a quantum chip. Successful results will increase by several orders of magnitude the nation’s capability to conduct quantum simulations with current quantum computing platforms, which in turn will support development of new quantum technology and accelerate the transition from digital to quantum computing across the Department of Energy complex.
