Cure the Incurable: Supercharged Immune Cells to Fight Disease

Aimy Sebastian | 22-LW-061

Executive Summary

We will characterize the specialized immune cells that are responsible for spontaneously clearing pancreatic tumors (pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma) in transgenic mouse models and preventing the recurrence of cancer. Identifying molecular characteristics of immune cells known to eliminate cancer in these mouse models holds great promise in promoting disease remission of various difficult-to-treat cancers.
