Executive Summary

We will explore the feasibility of developing new geometries, manufacturing methods, and surface treatments for superconducting qubits in order to substantially improve their quantum coherence, better understand material origins of decoherence, and improve manufacturability. Extending coherence times in qubits would advance the development of novel quantum computing architectures.
