Multi-Enzyme and Cofactor Co-Localization for Cell-Free Biocatalysis

Executive Summary

We will develop a novel enzyme and cofactor co-localization strategy by tethering enzymes with associated cofactors to significantly improve enzyme activity and cofactor recycling in biocatalysis. This work will have significant impact on enabling cost-effective and domestic production of sustainable biomaterial sand biochemicals as petroleum alternatives.
