High Resolution Chronology of the Solar System
Lars Borg | 23-ERD-003
Executive Summary
We will develop a high-precision, uranium lead-based chronometer to substantially increase the time resolution in understanding critical questions in cosmochemistry. This will bring understanding to critical questions in solar system science, including the timing of stellar additions to the nascent solar system, the relationships between primary and secondary lunar crust, and the origin of basaltic rocks erupted on Mars.
