Development Fiber Optic Distributed System for Direct Detection of Subsurface Gases Leakages
Allan Chang | 23-ERD-001
Executive Summary
We will develop a fiber optics capability for distributed chemical detection based on Raman spectroscopy in hollow-core photonic crystal fibers. The work will advance our ability to monitor gas leakage in carbon dioxide, hydrogen, and methane storage, pipeline distribution and sequestration activities.
