Establishing a Design Hub for Tokamak Fusion Reactor Divertor Systems

Executive Summary
We will develop design optimization tools for the critical power-handling divertor region of tokamak fusion devices by automating our simulation codes and systematically including uncertainties in their predictions. The proposed new toolset will meet science and mission needs for divertor design under extreme conditions which would otherwise lead to failure of pilot tokamak fusion power plants.
