Expanding Plutonium Inorganic Chemistry
Gauthier Deblonde | 23-FS-041
Executive Summary
We will evaluate the feasibility of transposing and applying a recently developed method for metal ligands to synthesize and characterize novel compounds of plutonium. The project will generate new knowledge about the chemical and physical properties of plutonium that will improve our understanding of nuclear materials found in various applications including energy, weapons, medicine, and waste.
