Target Production Using Additive Manufacturing

Jennifer Shusterman | 23-FS-010

Executive Summary

We will investigate the feasibility of using the additive manufacturing technique, electrophoretic deposition, to the production of thick targets for nuclear reaction studies. The ability to produce thick targets will support isotope production efforts, particularly to meet the quantities of short-lived reaction products needed to support the laboratory’s post-detonation nuclear forensic mission.
