Quasiparticle Traps to Improve Coherence of Superconducting Qubit

Executive Summary
We will evaluate the feasibility of novel design and fabrication approaches to suppress excess quasiparticle densities found in current superconducting quantum processing chips. Demonstrating on-chip quasiparticle suppression will lead the way to future quantum processor designs that are less susceptible to environmental noise.
