Encoding High Specificity and Multiplexing in Nanoporous Gas Sensors

Executive Summary
This research will yield a fast, sensitive gas sensor based on carbon nanotubes containing ionic liquids specific to the target gases for detection. These versatile gas sensors will provide much-needed rapid measurement capability for such applications as chemical threat detection, forensics, energy and carbon capture, medicine, and other industrial uses.
