Towards a More Predictive Framework for Laser-Driven Particle Sources through Experimental Data-Informed Machine Learning Models

Raspberry Simpson | 23-ERD-047

Executive Summary

We will advance representation learning applied to laser-driven particle acceleration to create a generalized framework for tuning laser-driven particle sources. This will allow the generation of high-energy, high-flux particles using high-intensity laser pulses for applications ranging from fusion energy to proton cancer therapy.
