High-Energy Advanced Thermal Performance

Executive Summary

We are developing scaling laws for thermal effects in gas-cooled, multislab, high-average-power laser architectures and benchmarking those scaling laws against experimental results. This project will improve high-average-power laser technology, enabling it for fusion energy science, high-energy-density physics, and other national security applications.
