Nuclear Resonance Transmission Analysis Using a Vehicle-Portable Source

Executive Summary

We will test the use of a neutron pulse to positively identify an object using neutron resonance transmission analysis. A successful test sets the stage for the development of a highly sensitive, vehicle-portable testing device to detect illicit transfers of nuclear materials that pose a threat through their use in weapons of mass destruction.
