Radiation Defect Engineering in Two-Dimensional Nanomembranes

Executive Summary
We will investigate radiation-produced defect processes in two-dimensional nanomembranes to better understand the science of thin films and tune their basic properties for use in emerging energy-related applications. If successful, this project will advance multifunctional membranes with controlled properties, offering improved performance in applications such as batteries, ion extraction, and desalination.
