High-Resolution Bioprinted Hierarchical Lung Tissue Model for Studying Respiratory Threats
Maxim Shusteff | 22-ERD-044
Executive Summary
We will integrate two advanced, three-dimensional bioprinting processes with biocompatible photopolymer resins to build models that realistically represent the physiology of human lung alveolar and microcapillary structures. Once loaded with human cells, the platform will enable investigations of host-pathogen interactions, as well as rapid development of therapeutics against injury or infection.
