Next Generation Dialysis via Exploitation of Novel Fast Diffusion through Nanoscale Pores
Steven Buchsbaum | 22-LW-058
Executive Summary
Our aim is to systematically isolate and develop a mechanistic explanation for a recently discovered nanofluidic phenomenon that enhances diffusive transport through nanoscale pores in a membrane. We will exploit this behavior to produce membranes for kidney dialysis separations that perform significantly better than currently available products.
