Hunting Sub-gigaelectron-volt Dark Matter with Diamonds and Magnetic Microcalorimeters

Executive Summary
We will explore the feasibility of a new concept for direct detection of dark matter using diamond crystals and magnetic microcalorimeters. If successful, this project will provide a revolutionary sensitivity to low-mass, sub-gigaelectron-volt dark matter by combining a sufficiently low-energy threshold with a low background.
